Something a little different.. sort of.. oh who am I kidding, if I could draw what I please all day long I'd draw creepy and shiny things non-stop. Anyways!

I was mulling over the idea of illustrating something along the lines of seven deadly sins, but the result was instead something of an analgam of several - wrath, lust, pride, greed, vanity, but not much on envy or gluttony. Those two just didn't really fit in without making it a whole lot more complicated and awkward.

It is very detailed, most of which is lost at this size, but should look pretty sweet in print. The detail shot linked below might give a general idea. I had a lot of fun with the sword designs - there's a big dragon halberd, some hilts with snakes, one sword with a giant butterfly (hard to spot though), one with an elaborate celtic knot (my first one ever!), one with a horse skull etc. etc.

All in all this took about 16 days of extra furious scribbling in Corel Painter 9 (and complaining to everyone willing to listen) with Wacom Intuos 3.
