This is a technically well done painting, however, it think the different elements dont'blend well together. You have put a face in the sky, which adds little to the overall impact. I think the angel of death with the kite is a very nice idea, and really would have liked that element as the centerpoint of this piece. Don't get me wrong this is very nicely done and it's sure on elite level, but I'm just being honest and I hope this helps + 9

I really love the concept and colors, but I'm not sure about the face in the sky... it's very sharp compared to the soft, somewhat blurry death figure and the kite gets lost next to it. I'd interpose the face more into the background, make it more subtle, and bring more attention to death and the kite.

Great work, although this appears heavily compressed for some reason (which wasn't the case when I viewed this at DA). It looks pretty bad for some reason (I'm talking about the image quality, not the painting if you know what I mean). Check into it if you can. +10 EDIT: Never mind, I hit 'refresh' and that did the trick, sorry about that.

Like Lucy to Charlie Brown.. Maybe shes telling death to "go fly a kite" or thoughts some where around that line. She looks sad. Possible close call for her or someone that she was close too? A hint of defiance and pride too.. A look inward something from her past. Possible Ontological experience? Looks Awesome...
